Railways Launches Special Trains for Kumbh Mela from Tatanagar

Multiple Routes Connect Eastern India with Mela Site Through January-February

JAMSHEDPUR – Indian Railways has announced special train services from Tatanagar and other major stations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela.

South Eastern Railway revealed the schedule today. The special services will run through February 2025.

“These trains will facilitate pilgrim movement,” a railway official stated.

Tatanagar Connection

The Tatanagar-Tundla Special begins on January 19. It will connect local devotees to the holy site.

Meanwhile, the return service starts from January 21. The trains aim to handle increased passenger flow.

Regional Services

Ranchi gets special connectivity to Tundla. The service commences on January 19, 2025.

Moreover, Bhubaneswar receives six special services. The first train departs on January 1, 2025.

Southern Routes

Special trains will run from Tirupati. These services operate on four dates in January-February.

Meanwhile, Narasapur gets direct connection. Two services are scheduled for late January.

“We expect high pilgrim turnout,” another railway official mentioned.
