JAMSHEDPUR – Governor Santosh Gangwar commenced his Kolhan tour with a community dialogue at Hurlung Panchayat Bhawan in Jamshedpur.
The Governor’s visit to Hurlung Panchayat Bhawan in Birsanagar marked the beginning of his official tour of the Kolhan region.
Gangwar inaugurated the event with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing transparency and open communication.
He interacted directly with school children and rural women, emphasizing the importance of community engagement.
"I am here to understand your problems, not to give a speech," Gangwar stated, inviting residents to openly discuss their issues.
Several women from the village presented their grievances, highlighting concerns about housing schemes, Self-Help Groups, and basic infrastructure.
The Governor acknowledged these problems and assured that both central and state government development initiatives would reach the grassroots level.
He encouraged the public to continue communicating their issues through various means to ensure they receive proper attention.
The entire district administration was present, reflecting the importance of the Governor’s visit and their commitment to addressing community needs.
Promoting Self-Reliance and Education
In a gesture of support for women’s empowerment, Gangwar distributed hand sewing machines to several village women.
He also recognized top-performing students from local schools, presenting them with trophies and certificates.
"These young achievers are the future of our state and country," remarked a local education official. "The Governor’s recognition will undoubtedly inspire them to reach greater heights."
The Governor urged everyone to take full advantage of various state and central government schemes designed for community upliftment.
Environmental Commitment
Before concluding the program, Gangwar planted a tree at the Panchayat Bhawan premises, demonstrating his commitment to environmental conservation.
"This tree symbolizes the growth and prosperity we wish for every community in Jharkhand," said a local environmental activist present at the event.
After the Jamshedpur event, the Governor departed for Chaibasa to continue his Kolhan tour and engage with more communities.
