DISHA meeting focuses on coordination among departments for effective implementation

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto stresses sensitivity and promptness in government operations.

JAMSHEDPUR – MP Bidyut Baran Mahto chaired a crucial DISHA meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium, emphasizing coordinated efforts for effective public welfare scheme delivery.

The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting addressed various public welfare initiatives.

MP Mahto highlighted the importance of local public representatives in successful scheme implementation.

"All departments should work with sensitivity, promptness, and mutual coordination," Mahto stated during his address.

District Magistrate Ananya Mittal assured timely resolution of public interest issues raised by representatives.

The meeting reviewed the compliance report from the previous DISHA gathering, focusing on earlier directives.

Electrification of non-electrified villages was a key topic, with instructions to expedite the process.

The Electricity Department was directed to replace dilapidated wires and temporary poles within two months.

MP Mahto instructed the insurance of contract linemen in the Electricity Department for accident compensation.

A Public Grievance Redressal System was mandated to address electricity consumer complaints.

The administration was instructed to repair minor faults in rural water supply projects using district-level or DMFT funds.

MP Mahto directed the proper implementation of basic facilities in schools using DMFT funds.

The RTE campaign was discussed, with emphasis on enrolling economically weaker children in private schools.

Health Department review included inquiries about Ayushman Card treatment and the 108 ambulance service.

The MP stressed the need for surprise inspections to ensure regular presence of ANMs and availability of essential medicines.

Public representatives raised concerns about rural road repairs and customer misbehavior in rural bank branches.
