In the early hours of Saturday, two thieves were caught stealing steel rods from a construction site in Gamharia Block, Adityapur, with the help of local residents and security personnel.
GAMHARIA – Two thieves were apprehended early Saturday morning while attempting to steal steel rods from the construction site of government buildings in Gamharia Block, Adityapur.
The security personnel stationed at the site, along with local residents, managed to catch the thieves and hand them over to the police.
The police have taken both youths to the police station and seized the auto-rickshaw and the stolen steel rods.
According to reports, two youths were transporting the steel rods in a goods carrier auto numbered JH05DQ-9780 when the security guard noticed them and stopped the vehicle for questioning.
The youths panicked and, with the help of local residents, the security guard managed to catch them along with the auto and the stolen rods.
The incident highlights the vigilance of the security personnel and the cooperative effort of the local community in preventing theft.
The police are currently investigating the case to uncover further details and any possible connections to other thefts in the area.
