Monsoon Arrives in Kolhan, Heavy Rains Expected Across Jharkhand

Weather department predicts widespread rainfall for next five days in multiple districts

Daltonganj records highest temperature at 40°C as monsoon prepares to intensify across the state.

RANCHI – The monsoon officially entered Kolhan and the rest of Jharkhand on Friday, with meteorologists forecasting heavy rainfall across the state in the coming days.

Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Ranchi Meteorological Center predicts widespread rain from June 23 to 27.

Daltonganj recorded the highest temperature in Jharkhand on Saturday at 40.0°C.

Jamshedpur reported a temperature of 36.4°C, while Saraikela reached 37.4°C.

Godda received the most rainfall on Saturday among all districts in the state.

The weather department expects heavy rain in numerous districts, including Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega, and East Singhbhum.

Wind speeds are forecasted to reach 30-40 km/h during the rainy period.

This monsoon onset brings relief after a period of high temperatures across Jharkhand.

The arrival of rains is crucial for agriculture and water resources in the region.

Local authorities are preparing for potential waterlogging and other monsoon-related issues.

Farmers welcome the timely arrival of the monsoon, which is vital for kharif crop planting.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during heavy rainfall and strong winds.
