Jharkhand Experiences Relief from Heatwave as Temperatures Drop, Yellow Alert Issued for Thunderstorms

Weather Department Predicts Cloudy Skies, Rain, and Gusty Winds Across Multiple Districts on Saturday

Jharkhand has been experiencing a respite from the scorching heat for three consecutive days, with temperatures across all districts remaining below 40 degrees Celsius on Friday, bringing much-needed relief to the residents.

RANCHI – As the weather patterns have shifted over the past three days, Jharkhand has witnessed a noticeable decrease in the intensity of the heatwave, with temperatures across all districts in the state staying below the 40-degree Celsius mark on Friday.

Palamu recorded the highest temperature at 38.5 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur experienced a maximum temperature of 33.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.0 degrees Celsius.

Seraikela and West Singhbhum registered temperatures of 36.2 and 38 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for several districts, warning of possible rain and thunderstorms.

Light to moderate thunder, rain, and thundershowers are expected in West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Ranchi, accompanied by wind speeds of 30-40 km per hour.

In light of the anticipated thunderstorm, the department has advised people to avoid taking shelter under trees or near electric poles as a precautionary measure.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s weather, the forecast indicates the likelihood of cloudy skies, rain, and thunderstorms across various parts of the state.

A yellow alert has been issued for Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Godda, Deoghar, Dumka, Sahibganj, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Latehar, Ranchi, Gumla, Lohardaga, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, and East Singhbhum, with wind speeds expected to reach 30-40 km per hour during the thunderstorms.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather information and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the forecasted inclement weather conditions.

The respite from the heatwave has been a welcome change for the people of Jharkhand, providing them with temporary relief from the oppressive temperatures that had been prevailing in the state.
