Senior Citizen Welfare Club to be Launched in Jamshedpur

Roti Bank Charitable Trust to operate the club, focusing on health care and public welfare of the elderly in the city and district.

Jamshedpur is set to witness the formation of a Senior Citizen Welfare Club, aimed at providing health care and promoting the public welfare of the elderly citizens in the city and district, which will be operated by the Roti Bank Charitable Trust.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move towards the well-being of the elderly population, the Senior Citizen Welfare Club will soon be established in Jamshedpur to cater to the health care and public welfare needs of senior citizens in the city.

The club will be operated under the aegis of the Roti Bank Charitable Trust, as announced by the organization’s chairman, Manoj Mishra, during a seminar on "Elderly – Our Heritage" organized by Roti Bank on World Health Day in Chhayanagar.

Mishra stated that the club aims to bring together all the elders of the city and district on a single platform, ensuring regular health check-ups and involving them in various activities.

The club will also provide emergency medical assistance to the elderly when needed.

Emphasizing the importance of the elderly, Mishra said, "The elderly are our heritage, and it is our duty to preserve them."

He appealed to all sons and daughters to take care of their parents’ needs and keep them happy, especially on the occasion of World Health Day.

During the program, senior citizen Renu Singh highlighted the need for such an initiative in the present times.

Salawat Mahato, Anima Das, and Dizzy Raja echoed the sentiment, calling it a necessity for the city.

The seminar was attended by several members, including Manoj Mishra, Salawat Mahato, Renu Singh, Anima Das, Rishi Gupta, Subhashree Dutta, Dizzy Raja, Nikhil Jha, Reena Das, Ruby Devi, and Somwari.

The formation of the Senior Citizen Welfare Club is expected to bring about a positive change in the lives of the elderly in Jamshedpur, ensuring their well-being and providing them with a platform to engage in various activities.

The initiative by the Roti Bank Charitable Trust has been welcomed by the community, who see it as a step towards preserving the city’s heritage and showing respect for the elderly population.
