Organizations Appeal To Citizens To Actively Participate In Voting And Question Candidates On Development Issues

JAMSHEDPUR – Roti Bank and the Jharkhand Human Rights Organization (JHRC) jointly conducted an extensive voter awareness campaign in various parts of Jamshedpur, appealing to the people to actively participate in voting.
The organizations carried out intensive voter awareness drives in areas such as Telco, Birsanagar, Bagunnagar, Sidhgora, Agrico, Laxmi Nagar, and Gemco, among others.
Since the implementation of the code of conduct, the organizations have been continuously running voter awareness campaigns in both urban and rural areas, reaching out to lakhs of people.
Addressing the program, Manoj Mishra, the head of the organization, emphasized that it is the legal right of citizens to not only communicate with their public representatives regarding the development of the area but also to question them and seek accountability.
Mishra criticized the current public representatives for maintaining their identity as leaders who merely cut ribbons and participate in programs as chief guests, leaving people struggling for their fundamental rights.
He stressed the need for public representatives who work on the ground, protect the interests of the people, and actively engage in issues related to development.
Mishra encouraged voters to openly discuss the development of their area with candidates seeking votes, ask them questions, and express their concerns.
He urged citizens to cast their votes thoughtfully, emphasizing that every vote contributes to the new construction of the country.
The program was attended by several members of the organizations, including Kishore Verma, Gurmukh Singh, Renu Singh, Salawat Mahato, DN Sharma, Rishi Gupta, Jagannath Mahanthi, Abhijeet Chanda, Anima Das, Devashish Das, Nibha Shukla, and Nikhil Jha.
