Jharkhand Tops India’s Voter Awareness Campaign on Social Media

Election Commission Ranks Jharkhand First for Social Media Performance in Voter Awareness Campaigns

Jharkhand has secured the top position in the social media performance index for voter awareness campaigns, as per the Election Commission of India.

RANCHI – Jharkhand has achieved the highest position in the social media performance index for voter awareness campaigns, according to the Election Commission of India.

The state was commended for its engaging social media campaigns focused on raising voter awareness.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar highlighted the importance of social media in driving campaigns, emphasizing its ability to reach a large audience effectively.

Ravi Kumar emphasized the power of social media in raising awareness, with many initiatives being launched at both the headquarters and district levels.

These campaigns featured a range of popular hashtags that gained traction across the country, showcasing the impact of well-coordinated endeavors.

According to Sanjay Kumar, the social media nodal officer of the Jharkhand CEO Office, the Election Commission’s monthly performance index assesses social media activity in different states using 14 standards.

These standards encompass various metrics such as monthly reach, subscriber growth, creative campaigns, and posts in regional languages.

Additional factors include connecting with local figures, creating content accessible to people with disabilities, and facilitating real-time interactions.

According to Sanjay Kumar, Jharkhand’s ranking is a result of the effective use of social media in April, putting it on par with Rajasthan.

Karnataka and Uttarakhand secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The ongoing social media campaigns in Jharkhand have not just increased awareness, but have also become an example for other states in effectively using digital platforms for social causes.
