East Singhbhum Bolsters Security for Chhath Puja

Tiger Mobile Team Deployed for Chhath Puja Security in East Singhbhum

East Singhbhum administration’s heightened security measures ensure a safe Chhath Puja celebration.

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum administration has finalized its preparations for the upcoming Chhath Puja, with a special focus on enhancing security measures to prevent thefts in residential areas during the festivities. SSP Kishore Kaushal has orchestrated the deployment of the Tiger Mobile team, a specialized patrol unit, to safeguard the community.

The Tiger Mobile team, flagged off from the CCR premises by SSP Kishore Kaushal, will conduct continuous patrols in residential neighborhoods. Kaushal explained that the initiative addresses the vulnerability of locked homes during Chhath Puja, as residents often leave their houses unattended to participate in the puja, making them potential targets for theft.

In addition to the Tiger Mobile squad, the administration has also deployed plainclothes police officers throughout the city to monitor any suspicious activities. Teams will be stationed at Chhath Ghats to ensure public safety during the puja.

SSP Kishore Kaushal himself patrolled the Sakchi market on foot, assessing the crowd and ensuring the effectiveness of the security measures in place.

Chhath Puja, a significant festival in Jharkhand and neighboring regions, involves elaborate rituals performed on riverbanks and water bodies. With large gatherings expected, the administration’s proactive approach aims to provide a secure environment for devotees to observe their rituals peacefully.

The police officials said that the administration is committed to maintaining public safety and order during this major cultural and religious event of Chhath festival.
