Jharkhand’s Chief Minister approves action against Pakur Panchayat Head for illegal assets, emphasizing anti-corruption efforts.
RANCHI – Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given the green light to take action against corruption.
In the matter of acquiring illegal property, Soren has approved the proposal to investigate by filing a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) against Misfika Hasan, the Mukhiya of Elami Panchayat in Pakur.
This is a case dating back to 2018.
The allegations were confirmed in the investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The bureau’s verification report includes 08 Kewalas (registered deeds) in the name of the accused, between 2016 and May 2018, along with other obtainable assets.
Confirmation of the allegations came after careful investigation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (Dumka).
A recommendation was then made to file a PE to conduct an open investigation into the acquisition of illegal property.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has since approved the proposal, allowing permission to register the PE.
