On Rabindra Nath Tagore’s 82nd death anniversary, Jamshedpur’s Tagore Society celebrated his life through various mediums, including tree plantation and blood donation camp.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the 82nd death anniversary of renowned poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, homage was paid to the great literary figure by the Tagore Society in Jamshedpur.
Under the banner of this organization, which promotes art and culture in the city, several events were held in the name of Kaviguru.
The celebration began with a tree plantation program in the premises of Rabindra Bhavan, initiated with the welcome song “Ae Amader Angane” performed by students of Tagore Academy.
Afterward, the President of Tagore Society, Dr. H.S. Paul, addressed the gathering.

He emphasized that Kaviguru is considered the poet of nature, and his beautiful connection with nature is evident in his creations.
He further stated that on this Mahaprayan Divas, Tagore is remembered through his works, as they are timeless and suitable for every season.
Dr. H.S. Paul, along with General Secretary Ashish Chaudhuri, Vice President Dr. Gautam Dasgupta, and Tagore School of Arts Chairman Dr. Arup Ratan Basu, participated in planting trees in the Rabindra Bhavan premises.
During the planting, a song composed by Kavivar, “Maru Vijayero Ketanah Orao,” was sung in the background.
The event also included the unveiling of a wall magazine by President Dr. H.S. Paul.
Following this, a blood donation camp was organized under the aegis of Tagore Academy, where teachers and parents of the school enthusiastically participated.
The day’s events were a fitting tribute to the legendary poet, reflecting both his love for nature and his humanitarian spirit.
