Karim City College Professors Honored at Farewell Ceremony

Departing Professors Badr and Banerjee lauded for their significant service at Karim City College in a memorable send-off.

JAMSHEDPUR – A touching farewell event was hosted for Professor Ahmad Badr of the Urdu Department and Lab In-Charge Joy Banerjee from the Department of Physics at Karim City College (KCC).

The commemoration was a collaboration between the KCC Teachers’ Association and the KCC Staff Union, celebrating the commendable service of these educators.

A revered poet and literary scholar, Professor Ahmad Badr, has been a pivotal part of the Urdu programme at Karim City College since 2003. His academic career spans over two decades, imparting wisdom to many students. Joy Banerjee, in his own right, has significantly contributed a decade to the institution. Both professors were acknowledged for their remarkable efforts during the event.

The principal of KCC, Dr. Mohd. Reyaz, extended his heartfelt thanks to both retiring professors. He presented Professor Badr and Joy Banerjee with shawls and other tokens of appreciation. Drs. MM Nazri and Anwar from the Teachers Union expressed their gratitude to their departing colleagues. The event was ably managed by Professor of Psychology Zaki Akhtar, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Neha Tiwari, the Chair of the Department of Mass Communication.

The love and respect for these revered professors were palpable as their colleagues and students bade them a heartfelt farewell.
