CAREER DESK – The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released an official notice for the recruitment of Officer Grade-A, specifically, Assistant Managers in the Legal stream for 2023.

SEBI is accepting online applications in the prescribed format from qualified Indian citizens for these government job vacancies.

Announcement of Legal Stream Vacancies

Every year, SEBI fills its Officer Grade ‘A’ posts, classified as Assistant Manager roles, through a competitive recruitment examination.

Keeping up with the annual trend, SEBI has rolled out its recruitment drive for Grade-A Officers for the year 2023, focusing this specific announcement on the Legal Stream.

For the 2023 recruitment drive, SEBI has announced 25 vacancies for the post of Officer Grade-A (Assistant Manager) – Legal.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility

These 25 positions are distributed among different categories: UR-11, EWS-02, OBC-07, SC-03, ST-02, and with two positions set aside for PWD candidates.

Applicants must not be more than 30 years old as of May 31, 2023, and should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute.

In addition, they should possess at least two years of post-qualification experience, inclusive of the tenure as an Advocate, an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office, or a Law firm.

Selection Procedure and Fees

The selection process for SEBI Grade-A Officers in the Legal stream will occur in three phases.

These include Phase I, a preliminary online screening examination with two papers of 100 marks each; Phase II, an online examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each, and finally, Phase III, which is an interview. The dates for Phase I and II examinations are August 5, 2023, and September 9, 2023, respectively.

As for the application fees, ₹1000 is the charge for Unreserved and OBC (NCL) categories, while ₹100 is the intimation charges for SC/ST/PBD candidates. All fees are payable online.
