Investigation into Ranchi JSCA Stadium Construction Scam to Resume

Jharkhand High Court lifts stay on investigation into the alleged embezzlement in the construction of Ranchi JSCA Stadium. Accused to face expedited inquiry.

RANCHI – Jharkhand High Court Justice Anil Chaudhary’s court has removed the stay on the 196.23 crore embezzlement allegation case number 2475/18 by the outgoing officials of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association.

On January 6, 2021, the main accused late Amitabh Chaudhary had taken a stay in this case.

Now after the removal of the stay, the complainant Ujjwal Das, Sheshnath Pathak and Sunil Singh’s advocate Ranjandhari Singh will file a petition for ensuring the presence of the remaining accused Rajesh Verma, treasurer Govindo Mukherjee and Ranjit Kumar.

Significantly, in this case, a case was registered regarding the scam in the construction of the International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi.

It was alleged that a scam of Rs 196 crore has been done while the biggest stadium has been built in 90 to 100 crores, but Rs 196 crore has been spent on it.

The police had investigated the matter, after which the case was closed.

Later, a High Court petition was filed in this matter, after which the stay has now been lifted.

Now the investigation against the culprits of the whole case will speed up.
