International Yoga Day Commemorated Across Jamshedpur with Enthusiastic Participation

Jamshedpur marks International Yoga Day with wide-spread activities; over 1500 students join hands with Tinplate Company for yoga session.

JAMSHEDPUR – As the world celebrated International Yoga Day, the city of Jamshedpur was no exception.

Various places in Jamshedpur, including the rest of the country, enthusiastically celebrated this global occasion.

The city, aligned with the nationwide call for wellness, brought yoga to the forefront in addressing the increasing stress and health concerns of people in the fast-paced modern life.

Prime Minister’s appeal to integrate yoga into daily routines has resonated with the citizens of Jamshedpur.

On the occasion of World Yoga Day, residents of the city were seen practicing yoga at different venues.

The local Yoga Guru, in his International Yoga Day address, highlighted the importance of yoga in everyone’s life and urged individuals to dedicate at least one hour to yoga daily for maintaining physical and mental health.

Inclusive Yoga Sessions with Tinplate Company

In a significant event, the Tinplate Company of India Limited, in association with the Satyanand Yoga Center, hosted a yoga session for school children.

The event held at Tinplate Sports Complex saw participation from more than 1500 children from various schools in Telco, Tinplate, Baridih, Govindpur, Bamangora, and other areas, along with hundreds of citizens.

The participants practiced an array of yoga postures and breathing exercises under the expert guidance of Swami Gorakhnath, a senior monk from the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger.

Tata Steel’s Celebration of Yoga Day

Tata Steel also commemorated International Yoga Day with a grand event organized at JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The session was guided by yoga expert Arvind Prasad and attended by Uttam Singh, VP Iron Making, Tata Steel, and more than 1200 individuals from all walks of life.

A special program was also held at the Tata Main Hospital, along with sessions organized by the Safety and Security department, in which a total of over 300 employees took part.

Promoting Health and Wellness with Yoga

The day’s events reaffirmed the city’s commitment to promoting health and wellness through the practice of yoga.

As part of the day’s agenda, yoga sessions incorporated a range of asanas, pranayama, and other yoga techniques to inspire participants and emphasize the benefits of daily yoga practice.
