We wanted 5 to 10 thousand fighters who went to Afghanistan to settle in Pakistan: Imran Khan

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that his government wanted 40 thousand people who went to Afghanistan to settle in Pakistan, out of which 5 to 10 thousand were fighters, but the new government did not pay much attention to this issue.

In an online conversation with Turkish scholars and students, Imran Khan said that when my government fell, the attention of political parties and the establishment shifted from TTP and they got a chance to rise.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan’s foreign policy was not correct, we kept fighting others’ wars for US dollars and Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Taliban should be distinguished.

The former prime minister said that enormous problems have arisen in the world due to the Ukraine conflict, the fuel prices worldwide have increased due to the Ukraine crisis, developing countries have suffered especially more.

The Ukraine war has affected developing countries, he said, and has created serious balance of payment problems.

He said countries like Pakistan should not be part of conflicts that have nothing to do with it. He said that pressure is placed on developing countries to lean towards one side, during the Cold War.

He cited India and said that it is commendable not to lean towards any side.

Imran Khan said that China and Turkey have always supported Pakistan. He said: “no country except China and Turkey stood with us on the Kashmir issue.”

He asked – “why should we become a part of Ukraine war when the western countries are not with us in our affairs. However, I have not seen long-term planning like China in any other country.”

Imran Khan said that the issue of Kashmir is a separate issue from the war in Ukraine.

He said: “We will continue to work in favor of Kashmiris, maintain diplomatic pressure, I am not in favor of military solutions to the problems. I have full faith that Kashmiris will get their right one day.”

While talking about nuclear weapons, Imran Khan said that since Pakistan has nuclear weapons, there has been no war with India, a nuclear war is like a suicide attack on the world.

He said: “Issues like Uyghur are discussed with China behind closed doors, Imran KhanHe said that on issues like Uyghur, China talks with us behind closed doors. For me, the most important thing is that Muslim countries should live with honor and dignity. Forced to listen to others, a country that continuously borrows is not independent, I adopted a policy of strengthening trade relations with Turkey during my reign.”

On the relations with Bangladesh, Imran Khan said that the distance between the two countries increased due to the situation after the fall of Dhaka. He said he tried to establish good relations with Bangladesh during his government.
