Virtual meeting of 23rd Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council held

Ranchi: Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council held its 23rd virtual meeting on Monday. A consensus emerged to work on the plan of action with the consent of all the members. Jharkhand TAC would guide the state in achieving its progress.

The CM Hemant Soren said that in the next meeting, work will be done on the action plan with the consent of all members.

This is the first meeting of TAC after the formation of the government. TAC rules were not made in the state in 20 years.

The present state government made the rules and duly nominated all the members.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand can achieve progress as a leading state only if it moves ahead in different areas.

To give a separate identity to the state, the role of tribals has to be decided, he said.

The council will prove to be helpful in preparing a better action plan for the tribal community.

Special focus has to be given for the 27% tribal population of Jharkhand to strengthen their social, economic, educational and political aspects.

To make tribals a part of the all-round development of the state, many parameters have to be fixed.

Suggestions of all the members will play an important role in this. Together we have to connect the tribal community with the mainstream of development in a planned manner.

The Chief Minister said that there is a need to uplift the tribals in the field of education and employment.

Better medical facilities has to be provided. The land of tribal people is important for their existence.There is a need to act according to the changing times. Concrete measures has to be taken. Priority should be given to resolve pending issues at the earliest in the interest of tribals.

Champai Soren, Vice President, Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council said that we have to help tribals through various laws.

The next meeting will be held as per the suggestion of all the members. Work will be done in the interest of Jharkhand and tribals.

20 years have passed since the formation of the state, but still issues related to tribal upliftment, economic system of tribals etc. have not been resolved. Now, under the Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council, after receiving all the suggestions, efforts will be made to work in the interest of the tribals residing in the state.

Members of Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council Stephen Marandi, Bandhu Tirkey, Sita Soren, Deepak Biruva, Chamra Linda, Bhushan Tirkey, Sukhram Oraon, Dashrath Gagrai, Vikas Kumar Munda, Naman Bixal Kongari, Rajesh Kachhap, Sonaram Sinku and nominated members Vishwanath Singh Sardar and Jamal Munda made their points during the meeting.

Rajiv Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Shri Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary to Chief Minister, Shri Amitabh Kaushal, Member Secretary of the Council were also present.
