Victim of Human Trafficking, FIR Registered Against Contractor and Brick Kiln Owner
In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old tribal girl from Palamu, Jharkhand, was raped and murdered in Sasaram, Bihar, after falling victim to human trafficking.
RANCHI – The minor girl, a resident of the Ramgarh police station area in Palamu, was lured by a contractor from her village with the promise of work and taken to a brick kiln in Sasaram eight months ago.
Tragically, she was subjected to sexual assault and subsequently killed, with her body being buried in an attempt to conceal the crime.
The Palamu police have registered an FIR against the human trafficking contractor and the brick kiln owner in Sasaram, Bihar, in connection with the heinous act.
Body Exhumed and Investigation Underway
Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the police exhumed the girl’s body in the presence of a magistrate.
The victim’s father had passed away, and her mother had remarried, leaving the girl vulnerable to the contractor’s deceptive offer of employment.
On June 3, the contractor and some individuals arrived at the victim’s native village in Ramgarh, Palamu, with her body.
They did not disclose the cause of her death and proceeded to bury the body in the village itself.
Local villagers informed the victim’s mother about the incident, prompting her to report the matter to the police.
The police have initiated an investigation and are conducting raids to apprehend the accused contractor and brick kiln owner.
A team from the Palamu police has been dispatched to Sasaram, Bihar, to assist in the arrest of the perpetrators.
