Teenager dies in accident in Patamda as tractor overturns

Jamshedpur: A 13-year-old boy died on the spot after a tractor overturned late at night near Bagalkata Tola of Jhunjhaka, a Naxal-affected village under Patamda police station.

The deceased was identified as Surya Hansda, son of Ravi Hansda of Jhunjhaka Tola Chitlaghuta.

The tractor involved in the accident belonged to one Haldhar Sahis. He too is from the same village.

According to the information received, tractor driver Somnath Mandi was returning home after having delivered firewood. The driver was accompanied two two companions.

The tractor somehow overturned near Bagalkata and the boy was crushed under it.

The family of the deceased got information about the accident in the morning.

Acting on the information from Mukhiya Rupen Singh, Patamda police station in-charge Ashok Ram took the body into possession sent it for post-mortem. The police are investigating the matter.
