CHAKRADHARPUR – A tractor accident near Itor Panchayat in Chakradharpur block results in the death of driver Mantu Toppo and minor injuries to four laborers.
Chakradharpur police, after being alerted, conducted a rescue operation, removing the driver’s body from under the overturned tractor for autopsy.
The police have begun a detailed investigation into the accident, interviewing the surviving laborers to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy.
Panchayat leaders Somnath Koya and Vinay Pradhan were among the first to arrive at the scene, gathering information from locals on the incident.
The accident occurred when the tractor, carrying Mantu Toppo and four laborers to collect soil, lost control and overturned at Itor Talab turn.
Local authorities and police swiftly responded, facilitating medical attention for the injured and post-mortem procedures for the deceased.
The community of Matiyali Sai, home to the injured laborers, and Rungsai village, mourn the loss of Mantu Toppo in the unfortunate accident.
