Vehicle carrying women from ration shop plunges into branch canal in Chakulia block

JAMSHEDPUR – A tempo carrying female passengers overturned into a branch canal near Machadiha village in Jamua panchayat of Chakulia block on Wednesday.
The vehicle (JH 05 CE 5496), traveling from Kerukochha to Machadiha, was transporting 11 women who had collected rations.
Six individuals sustained injuries in the accident, including:

– Somvari Gop (65) of Machadiha
– Sahadri Munda (60)
– Raymani Soren (47)
– Thakurmani Soren (60)
– Basanti Soren (30)
"The tempo lost control on the canal’s service road," reported an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous.
Local villagers quickly responded, rescuing the driver who was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.
A 108 ambulance was called to the scene, transporting the injured to the Community Health Center for treatment.
The accident occurred as the women were returning from collecting rice from a ration dealer in Kerukochha.
