Unregistered ultrasound machine seized from Sidhgora

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration has launched a special drive against ultrasound centres being run in the district in an unregistered and illegal manner.

On Tuesday, the health department took action against a Arogyam Hospital at Sidhgora and seized an ultrasound machine which was not registered with it.

Later, the District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. A K Lal, said that Arogyam Hospital has not got its ultrasound machine registration renewed since 2014.

He said that the hospital management was informed about it repeatedly, yet they did not take the intimations seriously. On the directives of Civil Surgeon this action was taken on Tuesday and the ultrasound machine was seized.

A large posse of policemen was deployed at the place for ensuring security during the action.
