JAC announces matriculation results, 78.73 pass in East Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: As announced earlier, Jharkhand Academic Council today announced the results for matriculation examination 2020. East Singhbhum has performed best in the three districts in Kolhan, while Seraikela-Kharsawan district has lagged behind other two.

East Singhbhum has achieved a pass percentage of 78.73, while West Singhbhum could achieve only 71.65 in percentage terms.

On the other hand, the third district of Kolhan, Seraikela-Kharsawan has achieved 68.8 percent success.

Earlier, as announced yesterday JAC released the matriculation results formally in JAC auditorium in the presence of education minister.

Normally, JAC announces matriculation results sometime in the last week of April. But, owing to Covid-19 and subsequent lockdowns the announcement was delayed. The evaluation work started late and so results were also delayed.

In all, there were 951 exam centres arranged for the matriculation exam this year. 3.87 lakh examinees have written the exam and are awaiting results. Last year, the number of examinees was 4,40,892.

Now, the results of intermediate classes have to be announced. Sources said that the results of Intermediate would be declared any day after July 8. All the results are ready and only need to be uploaded and declared on the website.

In all, 2,34,363 examinees have written the intermediate level exam conducted by JAC.
