NIT Jamshedpur Concludes Advanced ESDP on Rooftop Solar Installation

Program Focused on Skills Development in Solar Energy Solutions

JAMSHEDPUR – The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur successfully concluded its Advanced Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP) on “Rooftop Solar Installation” today. The program, organized from December 3 to December 7, 2024, was sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.

Focus on Renewable Energy Skills

This five-day program aimed to equip participants with technical skills and entrepreneurial capabilities to meet evolving energy demands in urban and rural areas. It featured renowned experts in renewable energy and solar technology, including Prof. Bhim Singh (IIT Delhi), Dr. Ram Krishna (NIT Jamshedpur), and Dr. Shailendra Kumar (IIT Bhilai), among others.

Sessions covered topics such as theoretical and practical aspects of rooftop solar installation, marketing strategies, customer relationship management, safe work practices, and system maintenance. Practical hands-on training provided participants with real-world exposure to enhance their proficiency.

Recognition and Certification

The program concluded with a ceremony where successful participants received certificates. The certificates were distributed by program coordinators Dr. Kanika Prasad, Dr. Om Hari Gupta, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, and Dr. Ram Krishna. They commended the participants’ dedication and active involvement.

Prof. Gautam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, supported the event under the leadership of Prof. M.K. Sinha, Dean of Research and Consultancy (R&C).
