A tragic incident in Dumkakocha village claims the life of a young boy who drowned while playing in a drain filled with mountain water.

GHATSHILA – A four-year-old boy tragically drowned in a village drain in Dumkakocha, Ghatsila block, prompting a visit from MLA Ramdas Soren to offer condolences and support.

Vasudev Singh, son of Ratan Singh, was playing with other children when the incident occurred.

The young boy was rushed to the subdivision hospital but was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.

The tragic event took place while Vasudev’s parents were engaged in plantation work in a nearby field.

MLA Ramdas Soren quickly responded to the news, visiting the village to meet with the grieving family.

During his visit, Soren expressed his condolences and promised all possible support to the family.

The drain where the incident occurred was filled with mountain water, creating a hazardous play area for children.
