Randomization of Counting Personnel Conducted Assembly-wise Under Close Supervision
The district administration has meticulously prepared for the upcoming vote counting day on June 4, with the randomization of counting personnel carried out assembly-wise under the watchful eyes of General Observer Killu Shiv Kumar Naidu, Counting Observer Sanjay Kumar Dhattarwal, and District Election Officer Ananya Mittal at the Collectorate.
JAMSHEDPUR – As the much-anticipated vote counting day approaches, the district administration has left no stone unturned in ensuring a smooth and transparent process.
The randomization of counting personnel was conducted assembly-wise, with the supervision of high-ranking officials, to guarantee fairness and impartiality.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and all Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) were present during the randomization process, lending their expertise and oversight to the proceedings.
EVM Votes to be Counted on 96 Tables, Postal Ballots on 42, ETPBS Votes on 7
The district administration has allocated resources efficiently, with EVM votes set to be counted on 96 tables, postal ballots on 42 tables, and Electronic Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) votes on 7 tables.
We have carefully considered the requirements of each assembly constituency and have allocated the necessary number of tables and rounds for counting,” stated an official involved in the planning process. This will ensure a smooth and efficient counting process on June 4.
Counting to Commence at 8 am with Postal Ballots and ETPBS Votes
District Election Officer Ananya Mittal outlined the sequence of events for the vote counting day, revealing that the process will begin at 8 am with the tallying of postal ballots and ETPBS votes. At 8:30 am, the counting of EVM votes will commence, marking a crucial stage in the electoral process.
Each assembly constituency has been assigned a specific number of rounds and tables for counting, with Baharagora (Assembly Constituency 44) set to undergo 19 rounds across 14 tables, while Ghatshila (Assembly Constituency 45) will see 20 rounds on 15 tables.
Similar arrangements have been made for other assembly constituencies to ensure a systematic and organized counting process.
Strict Adherence to Election Commission Guidelines
Mittal assured all candidates of a transparent and fair counting process, emphasizing that the allocation of counting personnel has been done in strict adherence to the guidelines provided by the Election Commission of India.
“We have followed the instructions of the Election Commission meticulously,” an official affirmed. “Each counting table will be manned by a supervisor, a counting assistant, a micro observer, and a fourth-class employee to ensure the integrity of the process.”
