New Facility to Expand Cardiac Care at Netaji Subhash Medical College

SERAIKELA – Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurated a newly built cath lab at Netaji Subhash Medical College and Hospital in Adityapur on Tuesday. The facility will expand cardiac diagnosis and treatment services at the hospital.
The governor praised the institution’s efforts in education and healthcare during the ceremony. He specifically commended the contribution of chairman Madan Mohan Singh.
Gangwar said the medical college hospital had expanded its facilities significantly in a short period. He described the pace of that expansion as commendable.
Chairman Madan Mohan Singh said the institution had promised to offer modern medical facilities at subsidised rates. He added that this commitment is now taking concrete shape.
The launch of the cath lab marks an important step for the hospital’s cardiac treatment services, Singh said. Moreover, he outlined the group’s future expansion plans.
The group’s next goal is to open a second medical college hospital on the Tata-Ranchi National Highway. Singh said that facility is targeted to begin operations in 2027.
The existing hospital has more than 800 beds. It runs several medical departments, including round-the-clock emergency services.
The attached medical college offers 100 MBBS seats. Besides cardiac care, the cath lab is expected to serve patients across the wider region.
Cardiac patients in Adityapur, Seraikela-Kharsawan and nearby areas are expected to benefit from the new local facility. In addition, several senior officials attended the inauguration.
Deputy Commissioner Nitish Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police Manoj Swargiyari were present at the event. Principal Prof. Dr. Kedar Nath Singh, along with doctors, staff and administrative officials of the institution, also attended.
The expansion adds to a series of healthcare upgrades reported in the district in recent years, including a mammography facility launched in Jamshedpur. Similar infrastructure milestones have also been marked at institutions such as Sakchi’s police facilities in the past.
Officials in the wider Seraikela-Kharsawan district have overseen several other public projects this year. Sakchi-based hospitals have also reported similar expansions in recent months.
Further development along the Adityapur industrial belt has continued through the year, officials noted.
