JAMSHEDPUR — Two missile bombs have been found on the banks of the Swarnarekha river near the Baharagora police station area, prompting the deployment of the Indian Army and a bomb disposal team at the site.
A live missile bomb had been recovered from near the Swarnarekha river ghat four days ago. During the subsequent investigation at the same location, another missile bomb was discovered.
The Indian Army team and the bomb disposal unit reached the spot promptly after being alerted. The devices are currently being examined, and a disposal operation is under way.
A large number of villagers from the surrounding areas have gathered at the site. Meanwhile, security personnel are managing the crowd as the operation continues.
The bomb disposal team is working to safely neutralise the recovered devices. The origin of the missile bombs and the circumstances of their arrival at the riverbank are being investigated by authorities.
