JAMSHEDPUR – Vikram Sharma, a Jamshedpur resident and a notorious history-sheeter, was shot dead near Silver City Mall in Dehradun on Friday morning, with police probing possible criminal links.

The killing occurred in Uttarakhand’s capital, Dehradun, on Friday morning. However, the attack unfolded in a busy zone near Silver City Mall.

Vikram Sharma was returning from a gym. Meanwhile, two assailants were waiting near a staircase.

The attackers approached on foot. Moreover, they opened rapid fire using pistols.

Several bullets struck Sharma. However, he died at the scene.

The shooting triggered panic in the area. Meanwhile, bystanders rushed for cover.

Police said the incident happened around 10 a.m. Moreover, officers sealed the crime scene immediately.

Investigators began examining nearby CCTV cameras. Meanwhile, raids were launched to trace the fleeing suspects.

Preliminary findings indicate alleged links to Akhilesh Singh. However, Singh is currently lodged in Dumka jail.

Police are verifying Sharma’s alleged association. Moreover, they are exploring rivalry within criminal networks.

Officials said personal enmity remains another angle. Meanwhile, forensic teams collected evidence from the spot.

The incident adds to recent gun violence cases. However, similar shootings have been reported across regions including Jamshedpur and other Jharkhand districts.
