DEOGHAR – A 45-year-old man was shot dead in Deoghar’s Karni Bagh area on Saturday evening, creating panic among local residents.

According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire on Karu Raut in the Kunda police station area. The bullet struck his abdomen, leaving him critically injured.

However, the residents immediately rushed him to Deoghar Sadar Hospital for urgent medical help. Doctors began treatment but declared him dead soon after due to excessive bleeding.

Meanwhile, this is not the first shooting in Deoghar city. Several such violent crimes have occurred in recent months, raising questions about law enforcement and security.

A local source said, “People here live in fear. The police must act fast to restore safety.”

The police have reportedly launched an investigation into the case. Officers are scanning CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identify the attackers.
