Tata Steel Adventure Foundation Renews Partnership with SAIL MTI

MoU Extends Outbound Leadership Development Through 2028

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Adventure Foundation signed a partnership agreement with Steel Authority of India Limited’s Management Training Institute.

The Memorandum of Understanding continues outbound leadership development initiatives. TSAF has partnered with SAIL since 2017 successfully. Moreover, the foundation delivered over 100 adventure-based programmes.

The courses build leadership and teamwork skills effectively. They also strengthen resilience and personal growth capabilities. Furthermore, outdoor activities provide platform for immersive learning experiences.

More than 2,000 SAIL employees participated in programmes. The training spans eight years of continuous engagement. However, the renewed agreement extends commitment through 2028.

The MoU remains valid from January 25, 2026. It continues until January 25, 2028 for operations. Besides, the partnership enhances learning outcomes for participants.

Employee engagement improves through structured interventions significantly. Leadership capabilities develop across SAIL organization systematically. In addition, experiential methods strengthen developmental impact measurably.

D.B. Sundara Ramam signed for Tata Steel side. He serves as Vice President of Corporate Services. Meanwhile, Ramam chairs Tata Steel Adventure Foundation board.

Sanjay Dhar represented SAIL at signing ceremony formally. He holds Executive Director position for Human Resources. Furthermore, Dhar oversees Learning and Development at MTI.

Mukul Vinayak Choudhari attended the agreement signing event. He serves as Chief Sports at Tata Steel operations. On the other hand, Hemant Gupta joined proceedings.

Gupta heads Sports Academies and Adventure Programme division. He also serves as Managing Trustee of TSAF. Moreover, his role coordinates outdoor learning initiatives effectively.

Atanu Mukherjee represented SAIL management at ceremony venue. He works as General Manager In-charge for department. Besides, Mukherjee oversees HR-Learning and Development operations.

Niharika attended as Senior Manager from MTI SAIL. She manages HR-Learning and Development initiatives at institute. Furthermore, her participation signified departmental commitment to partnership.

The partnership reaffirms shared commitment to leader development. Both organizations nurture capable and confident professionals jointly. According to agreement, future-ready leaders emerge through programmes.

Experiential learning methods form core training approach consistently. Outdoor activities complement traditional leadership development techniques effectively. Meanwhile, adventure-based modules create lasting behavioral changes.

TSAF has established strong reputation in adventure sports. The foundation recently hosted Everest treks for participants. Moreover, it supported Kaamya Karthikeyan’s climbing attempts. Additionally, TSAF climbers won six medals at Asian Championships. The foundation will host India’s largest sport climbing championship soon.
