NSS Unit Organizes Solo and Group Dance Events Celebrating Cultural Diversity

JAMSHEDPUR – Karim City College’s NSS unit organized a grand dancing competition successfully. The event occurred at the college auditorium on December 2.
The program provided a platform for showcasing student talent. Moreover, it conveyed messages of cultural diversity and community harmony. The competition formed part of Kaumi Ekta Saptah 2025 celebrations.
NSS Program Officer Dr. Ale Ali delivered an inspirational address. He highlighted the importance of art, culture and unity. Furthermore, he described such events as powerful mediums for personality development.
Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz appreciated the program warmly. He congratulated all participants, organizers and audience members. Besides, his presence boosted the morale of participating students.
Dr. Jisu Ketan Patnaik attended as distinguished guest from Ranchi. He serves as Registrar at National Law University. Meanwhile, Dr. Narendra Narottam also graced the occasion.
Dr. Narottam holds the position of Proctor at the university. Both guests praised student performances highly. In addition, they shared views on cultural activities’ importance.
The competition featured two categories for participant convenience. Solo theme focused on Bollywood retro from 1960s-80s era. However, group theme emphasized folk dance traditions.
Participants demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm in both categories. The colorful performances energized the entire auditorium atmosphere. Moreover, diverse cultural expressions captivated the audience completely.
Solo category witnessed outstanding performances from multiple talented students. Muskan, Adreeja, Ipsita, Sadhvi and Arijit delivered impressive acts. Furthermore, Astha, Aditi, Harshika and Goldie showcased excellent skills.
Sonal Munda, Shobhik, Manish and Jyoti also participated actively. Jeff and Akash completed the solo participants’ list. Their expression, presentation and dance skills mesmerized watching audiences.
Group category featured six teams with exceptional folk presentations. Sonal and group, Mamta and group performed traditional dances. Meanwhile, Shikha and group showcased their regional expertise.
Mausami and group, Sneha and group participated enthusiastically. On the other hand, Riya and group concluded performances. Various states’ cultural glimpses became clearly visible through presentations.
Two esteemed judges evaluated the entire competition fairly. Ms. Priyanka Singh and Ms. Shyamali Chaudhary served as judges. Besides, they assessed dance skills, coordination and energy levels.
Theme relevance remained an important evaluation parameter for judges. They praised students’ talent as highly inspirational. Moreover, both judges appreciated the performance quality displayed.
Sonal and Rahat Fatma efficiently anchored the program. Their skillful hosting ensured smooth event flow throughout. The program concluded in an organized and impressive manner.
NSS Coordinator Syed Sajid Parvez presented the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude toward all guests, judges and participants. Furthermore, he thanked volunteers and audience members present.
He emphasized such events’ role in enriching cultural atmosphere. The program provided talent display opportunities for students effectively. Moreover, it strengthened national unity and cultural diversity values.
