JAMSHEDPUR – The Surya Mandir committee in Sidhgora is opening Chhath ghat gates on October 27 at 2 PM with first-come-first-served entry for devotees.

The Surya Mandir committee held a press conference on Thursday. It was organized at a hotel in Bhalubasa. Chandragupta Singh, Bhupendra Singh, and Pramod Mishra attended the event.

Committee president Bhupendra Singh addressed the media. He explained that preparations are underway at all levels. However, the committee members are working dedicatedly this year. They aim to organize a grand Chhath festival.

The temple premises are undergoing extensive cleaning and painting. Moreover, the entire temple pond is being cleaned thoroughly. The pond surface is being painted after cleaning. Subsequently, clean water will be filled in it. The water transparency will be highly attractive.

Attractive electrical decorations are being installed around the temple. In addition, the Surya Mandir will be specially decorated. Colorful flowers will adorn the entire structure. The roads leading to the temple are also being cleaned.

Committee volunteers will remain active throughout the festival. They will serve the devotees continuously. Furthermore, the committee has decided against selling puja materials. This decision ensures no profit or loss considerations.

Chandragupta Singh provided additional details about the entry arrangements. All entrance gates will open at 2 PM sharp. The first-come-first-served system will be implemented for offering prayers. Devotees can offer arghya to Lord Bhaskar accordingly.

Media in-charge Pramod Mishra made an important appeal. He requested music lovers to attend the cultural evening. The program will begin at 7 PM on October 27. Renowned folk singer Dimple Bhumi will perform at the event.

Manavi Singh will also join the musical gathering. Local artists will participate in the cultural program. The Shankh Maidan at Surya Mandir will host the devotional music. Chhath songs, folk songs, and bhajans will be performed.

The committee announced a welfare initiative for economically weaker devotees. Bhupendra Singh revealed the distribution plan for free puja materials. On October 26, 1,100 families will receive these supplies.

East zone workers have been assigned specific responsibilities. They must identify economically weaker devotees in their areas. Subsequently, they will submit the list to the temple committee.

The distribution will take place at Surya Dham premises. It is scheduled for October 26 at 10 AM. The committee will provide complete puja materials to selected families.

The temple committee has banned commercial sale of puja items. This policy reflects their commitment to selfless service. On the other hand, devotees can bring their own materials. They can also receive free supplies if eligible.

The pond painting work is expected to finish soon. Clean and clear water will enhance the bathing experience. The entire temple complex will showcase festive illumination. Security arrangements are being finalized for crowd management.
