JAMSHEDPUR – The nomination process for the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry election concluded today. The polls are scheduled to take place on September 13.

Before filing nominations, both Team Kedia and Team Kavatia offered prayers at Ram Mandir in Bistupur. They later submitted their papers at the Chamber office in the presence of election officials.

The election will decide 11 office-bearers and 30 executive members. According to Returning Officer P. R. Jhunjhunwala, a total of 61 nominations were received. Scrutiny will be conducted on September 2, while the final list will be published on September 4.

Meanwhile, presidential candidate Manav Kedia said that his team was contesting again on the basis of the work done in the last four years. He emphasized that resolving traders’ problems would remain a priority.

On the other hand, Abhishek Agrawal alias Goldy stated that he would always remain available to the business community. “Even at midnight, we will respond to the traders’ concerns,” he remarked.

By 7 p.m., only one nomination had been filed for the president’s post. This has fueled speculation that Team Kedia-Kavatia may be elected unopposed.
