Senate Member Conducts Surprise Inspection of Abdul Bari College

Infrastructure Found in Deplorable Condition During Visit

Key Points:

  • Kolhan University Senate member Sonu Thakur inspects college facilities
  • Buildings, library and smart classrooms show poor maintenance standards
  • Staff shortage severely affects administrative and academic operations

JAMSHEDPUR – Kolhan University Senate member Sonu Thakur conducted an unannounced inspection of Abdul Bari Memorial College, where Principal Dr. Piyush Kumar welcomed him upon arrival.

Thakur examined various college buildings during his visit. He inspected classrooms, library facilities, and smart classroom equipment. Moreover, the administrative block and auditorium received thorough scrutiny.

The inspection revealed deplorable infrastructure maintenance conditions throughout the campus. Even newly constructed buildings are deteriorating due to lack of proper care. However, educational resources like library and smart classrooms showed extremely poor conditions.

Meanwhile, the deteriorating academic environment affects student learning significantly. Staff shortages have created multiple operational challenges for the institution. Both teaching and non-teaching positions remain severely understaffed.

Administrative work suffers due to inadequate personnel numbers. Furthermore, the teaching-learning system has become highly disorganized. Educational activities cannot function properly under current circumstances.

Principal and faculty members presented their concerns to Thakur. They requested him to communicate these issues to higher authorities. The problems need attention from the Governor and university administration.

Additionally, state government intervention appears necessary for resolution. Thakur assured everyone of his commitment to addressing the situation. He promised to escalate the matter to appropriate levels.

“I will make every possible effort to ensure solutions,” Thakur stated. His intervention aims to benefit both students and teachers. The Senate member emphasized taking the serious situation to higher authorities.
