JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Boxing Association recognized international boxer Amisha Kerketta’s Asian Junior Championship silver medal with a cash award and sports kit.
Amisha Kerketta’s outstanding performance at the Abu Dhabi championship earned her accolades from the Jharkhand Boxing Association.
The talented boxer trains under Dronacharya Awardee BB Mohanty at JSSPS in Ranchi.
Meanwhile, two national-level boxers, Shivani and Sneha, also received recognition.
However, their representatives accepted the sports kits on their behalf due to ongoing national training commitments.
The award ceremony took place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday.
Moreover, several dignitaries graced the event with their presence.
In attendance were JBA President Uttam Singh and Tata Steel UISL MD Rituraj Sinha.
Additionally, JBA Secretary Anand Bihari Dubey and Treasurer RK Verma participated in the ceremony.
Furthermore, former JBA Secretary Dr. Dinesh Upadhyay and Tata Steel Sports Department Chief Mukul Vinayak Choudhary joined the celebrations.
The event underscored Jharkhand’s dedication to nurturing boxing talent.
