Election Officer Holds Key Meeting on Poll Expenditure

Mittal urges agencies to ensure fair, fear-free elections in district

JAMSHEDPUR – District Election Officer Ananya Mittal has conducted a crucial meeting to prepare for upcoming assembly elections.

The gathering focused on election expenditure supervision and agency coordination.

Mittal stressed the importance of maintaining a fair, temptation-free electoral environment.

Moreover, she urged officers to use the ESMS App for monitoring election-related expenses.

The District Election Officer emphasized real-time coordination among agencies.

Furthermore, all activities must be promptly recorded online.

Meanwhile, the meeting addressed monitoring of cash, liquor, and potential election freebies.

Daily reports on seizures and enforcement actions were mandated.

Additionally, Mittal instructed enhanced vigilance after the Model Code of Conduct implementation.

Check posts and surveillance cameras will be installed at borders.

On the other hand, Flying Squads and Static Surveillance Teams will monitor suspicious activities.

Banks must report transactions exceeding ₹10 lakh to relevant authorities.

The Railway Superintendent of Police and other key officials attended the meeting.

Representatives from Income Tax, Excise, and various departments were also present.

"Our goal is to ensure a transparent and fair election process," stated a senior official.

This meeting marks a significant step in preparing for the upcoming polls.
