Monsoon showers bring relief and challenges to various districts in Jharkhand.
Since late Monday night, the monsoon has been active across Kolhan and the entire state of Jharkhand, bringing heavy to intermittent rains.
RANCHI / JAMSHEDPUR – Heavy rains drenched Jamshedpur and surrounding areas, including Seraikela-Kharsawan, Sakchi, Mango, Dimna, Bistupur, and Jugsalai, on Tuesday evening.
Around 5 PM, the sky suddenly darkened, leading to a downpour that continued until 5:30 PM.
The highest rainfall on Tuesday was recorded in Daltonganj at 67.2 mm, while Seraikela registered the highest temperature at 35.1 degrees Celsius.
Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall measurements for Tuesday included Ranchi at 2.2 mm, Jamshedpur at 12 mm, Garhwa at 40 mm, Latehar at 40.5 mm, Khunti at 7.5 mm, Palamu at 26 mm, Seraikela at 25.5 mm, and Simdega at 8 mm.
An alert has been issued for these districts.
According to the weather department’s forecast, heavy rains are expected in the western and adjoining southern parts of the state on Wednesday.
Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela are likely to experience rain with thunderstorms.
The monsoon showers have brought much-needed relief to the region, but also pose challenges such as waterlogging and potential flash floods.
Residents are advised to stay cautious and follow updates from the weather department.
