Unique Celestial Event Educates Students on Earth’s Tilt and Sun’s Movement
Students of JSSP experienced the unique Zero Shadow phenomenon today at 12:00 Noon, providing a compelling demonstration of the relationship between the Earth’s tilt and the sun’s apparent movement in the sky.
JAMSHEDPUR – Today, at noon, students at JSSP had the amazing opportunity to witness the Zero Shadow phenomenon.
This experience helped them gain a practical understanding of how the Earth’s tilt and the sun’s movement are connected.
This unique celestial phenomenon happens when the sun is positioned directly above, resulting in vertical objects casting no shadow.
This phenomenon can be observed in locations that are situated between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
Zero Shadow Day, also known as the day when the sun is directly overhead at noon, occurs.
It offered students a special educational experience that focused on how Earth’s tilt and the sun’s path in the sky interact with each other.
"The Zero Shadow event was absolutely fascinating and incredibly educational for our students. It really helped them understand complex astronomical concepts in a practical and hands-on way," shared a representative from the school.
