Bihar Association Hosts Annual Blood Donation Camp

Event Honors Late Founder, Collects 120 Units Of Blood

The Bihar Association’s yearly blood drive commemorated the fifteenth death anniversary of Kedarnath Singh Sharma, drawing wide community participation.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Bihar Association continued its tradition of social service by organizing a blood donation camp at Rajendra Vidyalaya, marking the fifteenth death anniversary of its founder, Late Kedarnath Singh Sharma.

Dr. Vijaya Bharat, a prominent cardiologist, graced the event as the chief guest, welcomed by Dr. S.K. Singh and C.P.N. Singh, the association’s vice president and general secretary respectively.

"This annual event not only honors Sharma’s memory but also serves a crucial societal need," Dr. Bharat remarked during the inaugural address.

The camp, running from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, saw enthusiastic participation from former students, teachers, and parents.

Amresh Sinha, the school’s Education Secretary, joined Acting Principal Pyali Mukherjee in paying respects to Sharma’s statue.

Khushboo Thakur, Principal of Rajendra Vidyalaya’s Ghutia branch, and Pratyancha Prasad, Acting Principal of the Engineering College, also attended the commemoration.

Senior Incharge Kiran Sinha and Junior Incharge D. Vani, along with the teaching staff, offered floral tributes to the late founder.

"The overwhelming response demonstrates our community’s commitment to Sharma’s vision of social responsibility," C.P.N. Singh stated.

The blood donation drive successfully collected 120 units, significantly contributing to local healthcare resources.

This annual event continues to be a testament to the Bihar Association’s dedication to community service and the enduring legacy of its founder.

Organizers expressed gratitude to all donors and volunteers who made the camp a resounding success.
