Arka Jain University Hosts Fashion Forward Show at Beldih Club

Fashion design students showcase in-house collections at a well-received fashion show in Jamshedpur.

Arka Jain University’s fashion show featured 40 models presenting trendy costumes, impressing the audience.

JAMSHEDPUR – Arka Jain University’s Fashion Design Department organized a fashion show titled ‘Fashion Forward’ at Beldih Club Hall, presenting their in-house design collections through a ramp walk.

The event featured 40 models who showcased trendy costumes, receiving much appreciation.

Prominent figures such as Runa Rajiv Kumar, Head of Corporate Communications at Tata Steel, former Jharkhand Assembly member Kunal Sarangi, and NIT Professor Dr. Rajeev Bhushan attended the show.

University’s Board of Management Chairman Prof. SS Razi, Director-cum-Registrar Dr. Amit Kumar Srivastava, Campus Director Dr. Angad Tiwari, Finance Officer Richa Garg, and Fashion Design Department Program Coordinator Usha Kiran Barla welcomed the guests.

Runa Rajiv Kumar expressed delight at seeing the enchanting costumes created by the university’s fashion design students, highlighting the advanced skill-based education being offered in Jamshedpur.

Kunal Sarangi praised the sustainable costumes designed for the show, reflecting the essence of ‘Fashion Forward,’ and emphasized that the department has equipped students with need-based skills.

He remarked that just as Jamshedpur has produced renowned cricketers and actors, it will also produce international-level fashion designers.

Dr. Amit Srivastava stated that the university aims to prevent educational migration by offering quality education in various fields locally, and is also working to empower village women and promote local Jharkhand crafts through sustainable fashion.

During the show, the ‘Kandisha’ dance performance garnered significant applause.

The event’s success was attributed to the special contributions of Usha Kiran Barla, Head of the Fashion Design Department, along with Assistant Professors Anoop Kumar Singh, Manisha Singh, and Poonam Kumari.

Student collections by Khushboo, Aishwarya, Gulistan, Nahida, Sneha, Simran, and Jasmine were notably showcased.
