Loyola School Telco, in partnership with VBDA, organized a blood donation camp, collecting 55 units from 95 volunteers.

JAMSHEDPUR – A blood donation program was conducted by Loyola School Telco and VBDA, which resulted in the collection of 55 units from 95 volunteers, including staff and local residents.

The event, which was overseen by VBDA President Sunil Mukherjee and veteran donor Pradeep Ghosal, underscored the life-saving benefits of blood donation.

Temperature checks and social distancing were among the stringent health and safety protocols that were implemented.

The blood collection procedure was overseen by VBDA professionals, who ensured the safety of all participants.

As part of its community outreach initiatives, the school advertised the camp to students, parents, staff, and well-wishers.

The event was preceded by an awareness program on August 16, which included a one-act drama and an assembly presentation to recruit participants.

Principal Charanjeet Ohson expressed his pride in the school’s contribution to community health through this laudable cause.

Principal Ohson expressed his enthusiasm for the attendance and the potential to save lives as a result of this event. "It’s a testament to our community’s commitment to helping others."

Father Gerry D’Souza, the school administrator, was instrumental in the coordination of the camp.

Fr. K.M. Joseph, the Rector of the school, visited to commend the initiative and underscore its significance.

The school expressed its appreciation to the support personnel and VBDA for their crucial contributions to the event’s success.

"It is encouraging to observe young people and educational institutions taking such initiatives," stated a local resident who participated in the camp. "This modest gesture has the potential to significantly impact an individual’s life."

In addressing critical healthcare requirements, the power of community collaboration is demonstrated by the success of this blood donation camp.
