JAMSHEDPUR – Social group Arpan prepares for major blood drive, responding to urgent need amid summer shortages.

The city’s prominent charitable organization, Arpan, is set to host its ninth annual blood donation event.

Scheduled for Sunday at Sakchi Red Cross Bhawan, the drive will run from early morning until evening.

Amarpreet Singh Kale, Arpan’s chief patron, highlighted the critical timing of the initiative.

"We’re addressing the blood banks’ urgent needs during this challenging summer period," Kale explained.

The organization has successfully collected over 6,000 units of blood in previous campaigns.

Arpan takes pride in attracting a significant number of first-time donors to their events.

Extensive awareness workshops have been conducted to educate youth about the importance of blood donation.

The group’s year-round commitment ensures 24/7 availability of blood for patients in need.

Members like Jugun Pandey, Pappu Rao, and Bunty Singh have been instrumental in promoting the cause.

As temperatures soar, Arpan’s efforts underscore the vital role of community support in healthcare.
