Tata Steel Hosts Successful Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament

Enthusiastic participation marks Tata Steel’s ID Table Tennis Tournament.

Tata Steel’s Sports Department organized the Inter Divisional (ID) Table Tennis Tournament from June 11 to 13 at the Table Tennis Training Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department held the Inter Divisional Table Tennis Tournament from June 11 to 13, featuring 128 players from 19 different units at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The tournament’s closing ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Pravesh Narang, Chief GSP & One Supply Chain, Tata Steel, and Guest of Honour Hemant Gupta, Head of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and Academies.

The team from GSP & One Supply Chain demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, ultimately emerging as the champions of the tournament.

The General Office team secured the runner-up position, while West Bokaro claimed the second runner-up spot.

In the individual events, Dinesh Rakshit from the General Office clinched the winner’s title, with Pravesh Narang from GSP & One Supply Chain finishing as the runner-up.

Kanishka Dutta from West Bokaro secured the second runner-up position.

To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the championship benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Ujjal Chatterjee, L N Mitra, Gokul Kumar, Karan Raj, and Sudhanshu Ranjan who performed their roles admirably.
