A one-day ‘Mega Drawing Competition’ organized by Tata Steel Limited in Gamharia aimed to inspire environmental awareness among school children from nearby villages.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Limited, Gamharia, organized a ‘Mega Drawing Competition’ with the aim of fostering environmental awareness among school children from nearby villages such as Dugdha, Khuchidih, Sapra, Bada Gamharia, and Gauri.
Over 150 students from various grade levels eagerly participated in the event, which took place at the Multipurpose Community Hall in Chhota Gamharia.
The competition offered an opportunity for young individuals to showcase their imagination and thoughts on safeguarding and preserving the environment.
Suhail Khan and Ashutosh Anand, representatives from the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board, graced the event as esteemed guests. They shared their heartfelt wishes and motivated the children to embrace eco-friendly practices.
At the event, attendees, including representatives from the Buxons, discussed important environmental initiatives like water conservation, tree plantation drives, reducing plastic waste, and implementing energy-saving measures.
The company stressed the significance of including children in efforts to preserve the environment.
Participants who performed exceptionally well were honored with awards, while others received consolation prizes as a gesture of appreciation for their efforts.
