Red Alert Issued for Five Districts, Orange and Yellow Alerts for Others
Residents of Jharkhand are grappling with intense heat and scorching temperatures, with heatwave conditions recorded in several districts, including Garhwa, Palamu, East Singhbhum, and West Singhbhum on Wednesday.
RANCHI – Daltonganj recorded the highest temperature in the state at a blistering 45.6 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur experienced a maximum temperature of 44.0 degrees Celsius, which was 6.9 degrees above normal.
The minimum temperature in Jamshedpur was recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius.
Apart from four districts, the remaining districts of Jharkhand recorded temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave Alerts for Thursday
The weather department has forecasted severe heat conditions to persist on Thursday, prompting the issuance of heatwave alerts for various districts in Jharkhand.
A red alert, indicating the most severe heatwave conditions, has been issued for five districts: Garhwa, Palamu, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Saraikela Kharsawan.
An orange alert, signifying a high level of heatwave severity, has been issued for two districts: Chatra and Latehar.
Additionally, a yellow alert, indicating moderate heatwave conditions, has been issued for several districts, including Godda, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, Giridih, Dhanbad, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Latehar, Gumla, Khunti, and Simdega.
