South West Monsoon to Cover Karnataka and Maharashtra Soon
The South West monsoon is expected to reach Jharkhand between June 15 and 21, bringing relief from the current heatwave.
RANCHI – The South West monsoon is anticipated to spread across Karnataka and arrive in Maharashtra within the next couple of days. Forecasts indicate it will reach Jharkhand between June 15 and 21.
In the meantime, residents must endure the intense heat.
This year, the monsoon arrived in Kerala two days earlier than expected.
The IMD has forecasted very favorable conditions for the monsoon to advance through Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and into Chhattisgarh and Odisha shortly.
However, Jharkhand will continue to experience high temperatures as the monsoon is not yet near the Bay of Bengal.
Meteorologist Abhishek Anand mentioned that the monsoon is likely to reach Jharkhand between June 15 and 21.
A local resident noted, "We are eagerly waiting for the monsoon to bring some relief from this intense heat."
