Jamshedpur Gears Up for High-Stakes Lok Sabha Election on Saturday

JAMSHEDPUR – With only a few hours remaining, the people of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha district are eagerly anticipating the election. A total of 25 candidates are contesting for the prestigious seat, and the stakes are high as 1,869,278 voters prepare to make their choice.

Voter Demographics and Infrastructure

Jamshedpur’s electorate includes 937,412 male voters, 931,733 female voters, and 1,333 transgender voters. Additionally, 15,869 individuals have registered as Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

Voting will take place from 7 AM to 5 PM, providing ample time for voters to cast their ballots. The district boasts a robust voting infrastructure with 1,887 polling places, including 688 urban and 1,199 rural booths, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

1. Bahragora (44): 241,093 voters (121,049 men, 120,042 women)

2. Ghatshila (ST) (45): 256,695 voters (130,963 men, 125,730 women)

3. Potka (ST) (46): 311,099 voters (152,577 men, 158,516 women)

4. Jugsalai (SC) (47): 347,592 voters (174,636 men, 172,953 women)

5. Jamshedpur East (48): 331,533 voters (168,619 men, 162,595 women)

6. Jamshedpur West (49): 381,493 voters (194,801 men, 186,664 women)
