JAMSHEDPUR – Prominent businessmen in Jamshedpur have announced significant discounts to incentivize participation in the upcoming elections, aiming to increase voter turnout.
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) Jamshedpur unit has initiated a voter awareness campaign to encourage higher urban voter engagement for the fifth phase of voting on May 25.
Sonthalia convened a meeting with local business leaders to emphasize the importance of addressing the typically lower voter turnout in urban areas compared to rural regions.
Kishore Golchha assured voters that all basic facilities would be available at polling stations and pledged a 100% turnout from the business community.
Various traders and associations have announced attractive offers, such as discounts on gold jewelry making charges, fans, mixer grinders, children’s wear, and food items at popular eateries, to further incentivize voting.
Dilip Golchha and Piyush Chaudhary from CAT clarified that these discounts would be available only to those who vote and show their inked fingers as proof.
Jaichand Jaiswal and Vinod Sharma of Laghu Udyog Bharti appealed to all entrepreneurs to vote and remind their family members, including those abroad, to participate in the democratic process.
Mahesh Sonthalia and Sanwar Sharma emphasized that May 25 should be viewed as a day of responsibility for every citizen, rather than just another ordinary day.
